We went to visit Jen, Ryan and Kaylee recently and had a great visit. We spent one day out at the beach at Lincoln City. The kids had a great time, because the tide was way out and they were able to see all kinds of sea treasures, including a hermit crab. It was later released to the wild. Here are just a few pictures of the kids playing.

Lightning

We got to enjoy an amazing lightning display last night. It was so beautiful. I played around with my camera and was able to get a few shots. It was a very long lasting storm, and managed to wake up my little man Wyatt. He did not appreciate the storm as much as Mike and I, and spent the entire evening curled up in a little ball in one of our laps. He was so sad. He went right down after it was over thankfully. Enjoy the pictures.

Ainsley

My girly girl enjoys trucks. I have now come to terms with it. I have a baby girl after 3 boys, and she enjoys playing with trucks. Oh well. I can still dress her like a girl, and maybe she will also enjoy tea parties. She stays cleaner than her brothers. She also is a lot more sensitive. But I was kind of thinking she would play different. I guess not. She has become quite the conversationalist the last month or so, though I have no idea what she is saying. I tend to agree with whatever she says and she is satisfied with that. She carries on lengthy conversations with other children her age, which makes for great entertainment for us. She is a unique adorable little person.

This is what happens when Mike gets together with his old college buddies. Gotta say, I didn't think there was any way he was going to get up from the lawn chair, but surprise he did. Look at him go. The water was a bit chilly, so I didn't even attempt, but Mike enjoyed himself. He attempted to get Brandt involved, but that sort of backfired. We will get him up on skis next time we go out on our boat. He is really excited and so is Holden. Should be a good summer.

Mike and the wet suit

Thought I would include a couple of pictures of Mike shimmying into his wet suit. It is quite a process and he was pretty exhausted by the end. I am so proud of his hard work and look forward to watching him compete in the Medical Lake Tri June 20th. Go Mike.

Ainsley and the toilet

I know, oo ick, Ainsley's hand is on the toilet, but I had to capture this moment of mischief. She was having such a good time pulling the toilet paper off the roll, and I could tell how very pleased she was with herself. I did wash her hand after I took the picture.

So, I am finally here to post something new. I am frustrated with my computer, because it seems to be slowing in its old age. I have been avoiding blogging, because it takes so long for pictures to upload. Finally, I sat down and decided to be patient. A character trait I am constantly trying to develop. Anyway, here are the boys in their swim lessons. They all graduated the last session they were in, so next session will all move up a class. They are all very calm and comfortable in the water, and Brandt and Holden have become quite the little fish. I keep encouraging Brandt to turn out for the swim team, but he is reluctant. I think he thinks it will be a lot of work. Oh well, no more that playing a basketball game. He is currently getting ready for Hoopfest. It brings joy to my heart to be able to watch one of my kids playing in a tournament that I love. I am considering making a comeback next year. We'll see. Anyway, I will continue to get things updated. Enjoy the post.
